Project Summary
As part of infrastructure improvements at Bengalla Mining Company (New Hope Group), Daracrete was engaged in the BMC-Workshop Apron & Hardstand Upgrade project. This project focused on enhancing the functionality and resilience of key maintenance areas within the active mine site at Bengalla, NSW.
In total, Daracrete supplied over 900m³ of S40MPa concrete reinforced with steel fibres (dosed at 40kg/m³), along with approximately 150m³ of 20MPa concrete, engineered to withstand the heavy-duty operational demands of a mining environment.
Key Services Provided
-
Concrete supply to mine sites in full compliance with mine site requirements, including inducted drivers and escorted deliveries under strict regulatory protocols.
-
Use of Agitator trucks compliant with Bengalla Golden Rules, maintaining site safety and operational stability.
This project also demonstrated the vertical integration of Daracon Group’s products and services including:
-
Concrete supply from Daracrete, utilising Daracon Group’s inhouse concreters and poly welders to support onsite works. This ensured consistency and quality across all aspects of project delivery.
-
Supply of over 40,000 tonnes of pavement materials from Ardglen Quarry, including a specially developed stabilised road base known as ‘Ardstand’. The engineered blend was created to meet the project's specific material performance criteria.
